Please email your request to us at enquiry@pilotpen.com.my

How do I remove permanent marker stains from the wall and timber door?

Even though we cannot guarantee or be responsible for any stain removal especially in removing it completely, we suggest the following: Generally it is better to use Ethanol (Ethyl Alcohol) which is a solvent to dissolve oil based ink. Thinner or Benzene can also be used for removal of stains, but they are stronger than ethanol and may damage material. In the first instance use a cloth soaked in Ethanol first and wipe up the ink stain carefully. If this is unsuccessful then try thinner or Benzene.

How do I remove gel ink from clothing?

Gel ink might be difficult to remove completely. We recommend the following:

  1. Dissolve some hand soap in water
  2. Slowly tap the stained clothing with it
  3. Rinse under running water and repeat if necessary

Why does the pencil lead get stuck in my mechanical pencil ?

The pencil lead’s dust residue left in the mechanical pencil may cause this. Some low grade pencil lead available in the market may generate a lot of dust and clog the inner parts of the mechanical pencil. In addition, inserting too many pencil lead into mechanical pencil may also cause this problem. It is recommended to insert 2 – 3 leads in one mechanical pencil.

What does the BEGREEN symbol mean ?

BEGREEN means that the product is made using recycled materials. Most of Pilot’s products are refillable and reusable, making them more environmentally friendly. All BEGREEN products are made using a minimum of 70% of recycled plastic content.

Knowledge about Frixion Pen Series

How does the Frixion Pen Series work ?

Pilot’s Frixion series uses a thermo-sensitive gel ink which contains 3 components: A (Colour Pigment), B (Colour-activating), and C (Colour-transparent). In normal temperature, component A and component B stick together, allowing colour to show during writing. When rubbing action is taken, the friction created causes temperature to increase to over 60°C, causing component C to inhibit component B from sticking with component A. At that moment, component B will stick together with component C, and the ink will “disappear”.

I use Frixion Pen for my work. Will my writing show again after it disappears ?

Yes, if the temperature is below -10°C, the ink will return again. However, if you “erase” it using the plastic rubber tip again, the ink will disappear permanently.

Reminder for all Frixion users :

  • Do not expose your writing to high temperatures (over 60°C) to avoid writing from becoming invisible.
  • Do not use Frixion to write on anything other than paper.
  • Remove dust/dirt on the paper before rubbing to avoid paper from becoming dirty after it is rubbed.
  • Do not place the pen in environment with high temperature or directly exposing it under sunlight.
